Foster care program usually provides placement and supervision to children whose family members are not able to provide minimal care guidance to their teens. It usually means that parents are so busy with their work that they hardly get some time to take care of their teens and often it is being seen parental rights of teens are terminated and they are legally free for adoption.
Foster care program is based on following principles:
- A teen should be separated from his family only when the members of family are unable to do so.
- If there is abuse in the home environment or teen is being neglected.
- To have a balance between working family and a teen in a way that both of them could perform their work.
Mainly it is been seen that if you love your teen or want to have a additional children foster parenting or foster adopting methods is being used as it is very rewarding, and challenging work that will change the life of individuals.
Foster care can be in a form of respite care which is given to teens or form of therapeutic care where there are treatments can be done. For fostering a teen from their parents there are certain requirements which you have to fulfill such as age of individual should not be less than 21 years of age and should be sufficient to meet the demands of the teen.
Foster care program provides opportunities for siblings to remain together as well as to be in safe home environment. For this it is not necessary to be a foster parent everyone can make a difference and provide welfare to the teen
