Therapeutic boarding school offers an environment which help the teens who are low in their self esteem and motivation. Guidance is being provided in this boarding school through social, emotional, physical and spiritual powers and is designed for the youths who are underperforming both in their personal and academic life and have feeling of negative self concept about themselves.
These boarding schools try to change the behavior of the defiant with a nurturing and supportive curriculum which offers counseling with an academic environment. Participation of the teen in a group is helpful in coming out of their problem through a way of interacting and socializing which will ultimately prove to be an emotional healing.
These boarding schools unlike another boarding school are expecting teens to follow school rules and policies and make a commitment to contribute positively to school life. However troubled students are encouraged to do more experimental learning which will develop a positive sense of own decision -making and problem solving.
Admission to these therapeutic boarding school are year-round as teens as to undergo a series of psychological test followed by interview process which will give the necessary information regarding their placement in school however poor past performance of theirs does not hold ground for rejection.
School provides programs for non traditional student also who are in need of guidance in building their self- esteem and going into right direction. Mainly the stay at this therapeutic boarding school is of minimum 12 months and generally has a smaller student population to give individual attention by way of counseling in their anger and depression.
This school also offers guidance to many teens who have many disorder such as eating disorder, learning difficulties and personality disorder and will be treated in a home – like setting campuses having individual dorm rooms.
